<문제점>

I have Stronghold HD and installed it no problem through steam. But whenever I start the game I can hear the sound but a box appears saying UNSUPPORTED and I can't see anything. I have changed the compatability modes, I have changed the resolution, I have made it run 256 colours just to see if it makes a difference...

<해결방법>

어느게 맞는지 몰라서 일단 호환성/해상도 외에 그럴싸해 보이는 방법을 주워왔습니다.

1. 윈도우모드로 실행

Try this: go to steam library, right click on Stronghold HD--->Properties---> Set Launch Options -->and type -windowed (yes the "-" too), then press ok. If it works, change the resolution at once, let me know if it worked. 

번역 : 스팀 라이브러리 가서 - 게임이름에 오른쪽 마우스 누르고 - 설정 - 시작 옵션 설정 - 거기다가 '-windowed'라고 쳐넣고 확인 - 실행해서 창모드로 실행되면 해상도 변경

2. 다이렉트 구버전 파일 때려넣기

I finally found the solution.
At some point I got an error code 0xc0000022, that lead me further.

Alpha Spirit posted this in some thread.
"Download DirectX End-User Runtimes (March 2009). Find it on Google. The file is a bit larger than 90 MB. Run the downloaded file and extract the files in some random folder. The extracted files are just a bunch of cabinet files. dnxt.cab is the one you want. Open it and find dplayx.dll (you must get this dll) and dplay.inf (might work without it, but just in case). Copy those two files directly into the Stronghold HD folder in the Steam folder."

잘 될지는 자신이 없습니다만, 스팀 디스커션에는 이 이상의 내용은 없네요.. 대부분이 호환성/해상도만으로 해결됐대서 ㅠ
